Hotel Luisiana is situated near Santa Ana Business Center. Located on Machete Street, Hotel Luisiana is the perfect boutique hotel, with an incredible view of the surrounding mountains. The hotel dates from the 1950s, and was built as a Louisiana-style home for the original owner, an American, who came to Costa Rica from the American South.
Hotel Luisiana’s Italian owners came to Costa Rica in 2008. They completely renovated the property, giving it its new name based on its original building style. We only stayed one night in July of 2010. We were headed to the airport the next morning. It was quiet and clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfast was delicious. It was a perfect night. I enjoyed the back terrace at night and I felt safe.
